Acid Queen of Electro Sluts Extrodinaire, a model that’s worked with me before, invited me out to a local downtown club here in Austin called Elysium.

I need to get invited to more parties with a Naughty Schoolgirl theme. Hint, hint, models I’ve worked with before… or just anybody really… so long as I get invited to more Naughty Schoolgirl parties ;-)

New Photos Added to Set - Austin After Dark

Every once in a while I drop the pretense of being a “photographer” and wander around, camera in hand, just pointing the lens at anything that looks neat and just push the button. I don’t plan my route, theme, or even really compose my shots all that much. It’s a great stress reliever, and I periodically end up with some great images I never would have expected to get. Here’s a few:

New Set Posted - Metal Dolls: Austin 8-16-08

I just wrapped up a shoot with Metal Dolls this past Saturday… and it was a great experience overall. I don’t do a lot of pure glamour style photography, but it was fun. Don’t forget to check out Metal Dolls and the other photographer from the shoot, Jim Brown.

Some friends of mine put on a show this past weekend and asked me to not just come see the show but to also shoot the show. New Photos Added to Set - Various Artificial Subjects & Various Natural Subjects

I went to a suburb outside of Milwaukee for my little brother’s wedding, and I just couldn’t pass up the chance to take some photos all the way up north in Wisconsin. I got some nice ones at his rehearsal dinner and his reception I was the Best Man and couldn’t shoot the ceremony), but those aren’t really the type of thing that I put in my portfolio. On the other hand, I took a few that did make it in. These were taken in a little burg called Port Washington right on Lake Michigan where they apparently have an annual pirate fest. I now regret not picking up a Pirate Fest t-shirt.

New Set Posted - Claire: Hippie Hollow

This is my first all new set to be posted in quite some time. The model is actual a friend/acquaintance of mine who surprised me by approaching me to do these photos. After sitting for hours on end playing Dungeons & Dragons with her, I never would have guessed that she would want nude photos done. I suppose I’m not quite so great at reading people as I think.

I had quite a bit of fun on this shoot as I had never been to Hippie Hollow, Austin’s famous nude quasibeach, but the weather was changing drastically every two or three minutes, so you may notice some water droplets on the lens or wildly varying color tones from one photo to the next.

I’m posting the full 131 images for now, but I’ll probably end up narrowing it down later. Enjoy, and as always, feedback is appreciated. EDIT: I’m down to 66 images, and there might be more narrowing down later.

Site Redesign

I’ve redesigned the site to offer more functionality. The front page is now in a blog format so that the RSS feed that has always been part of the site’s coding now has a purpose. You can subscribe to the RSS feed to get updated when I post completely new sets to my portfolio as well as when I add new photos to pre-existing sets. Also, announcements like this will also show up in the RSS feed.

The Portfolio, Contact, and other pages can still be accessed, like before, through the navigation tabs at the top.

I think the new design is both more aesthetically pleasing and more functional, but let me know what you think.
